Norma Jean Martine

Kaufleuten 11. February 2014

Oh yeah, I was at the James Arthur concert. Normally you would expect a "bad" or in my case "not my type of music" support act.

But I have been disabuse well and truly.

I was blown away and thought I couldn't trust my ears, but the first notes into the show from Norma Jean made me speechless. I've said "Wooooowwww!!!" And I got approving nods from the audience around me. I was totally amazed and surprised because of the strong clear voice in front of me on the stage. I couldn't put my camera away and I have to had to record from the first song. If you want to watch it, here's some Videos from that day.

How Norma Jean performed "Hang My Hat" was madness. Easy going with not a single sign of tremulousness. She hit the high notes like a true pro, and her rather deep raspy voice did the rest and I was having goosebumps. I felt chills down my spine, and not because of the temperature at the venue.

From the first song on she had the audience on her site. Let's not talk about the guys sitting and drinking at the bar ;-)

For "Still in Love with you" she brought her guitar out and played while singing. I've just thought "It can't get better!"

And again, I was proven wrong. She sang "No More Alone" whilst hitting the keys on her keyboard. And that really got me.

In my eyes, Norma Jean is the Newcomer 2015, because sadly her first record will not come out until 2015.

I will cross my fingers and wish you all the best, Norma. And I hope that the Swiss is seeing and of course hearing you again. And not only because I want to hear more from you.

Oh well, before I forget: actually I was there for James Arthur, but Norma Jean stole him the show. It was truly an amazing concert evening at Kaufleuten and I was fully content.

If you want to check out Norma Jean, you can listen her music via Spotify or you can buy it and listen to her single "No Gold" on iTunes immediately

Konzertbericht
